Onderlinge ziektekostenverzekeringsfonds van Hoogere RijksAmbtenaren (OHRA) was founded in 1925 and is part of the CZ group. CZ Groep is the third-largest health insurer in the Netherlands. That is why when you take out an insurance policy with OHRA, you are assured of professionalism and tailor-made service. OHRA offers its services and packages directly to the customer. OHRA is therefore also referred to as a “direct writer”. In addition to the many insurance policies that OHRA offers, you can also open various bank accounts with them.

Advantages OHRA for students

• Discounts on many types of services and products (relaxation: sauna or magazines, travel vaccinations, laser eye surgery).
• Reimbursements are made quickly.

Disadvantages OHRA for students

• Free choice of care, but a somewhat higher premium;
• Slightly longer response time to emails.

OHRA Aanvullend

With this supplementary package, OHRA will reimburse you for a maximum of four physiotherapeutic treatments. In addition, you will be reimbursed up to a certain amount per year for the costs of using contraception and vaccinations.

OHRA Extra Aanvullend

With this package, you get all the reimbursements that are also in the “limited” package, but with higher maximum reimbursement. In addition, the costs for glasses and lenses are reimbursed up to a certain amount.

OHRA Uitgebreid

With the extra extensive package you will be reimbursed for all the aforementioned reimbursements up to a higher maximum amount.

Additional dental insurance

In addition to supplementary insurance, you can choose to take out dental insurance. OHRA offers two additional dental insurance policies.

OHRA Tand Sterk

OHRA Tand Sterk offers reimbursement for all kinds of common dental treatments. Crowns and implants are not covered by the insurance.

OHRA Tandengaaf

With OHRA TandenGaaf, you are reimbursed for all types of treatments from the dentist and dental hygienist, up to an insured amount that you choose yourself.

Additional services OHRA

You can declare healthcare costs directly via the OHRA App. You can also view reimbursement lists and your other OHRA insurance policies here.

Discounts OHRA

Are you already a donor? Everyone in possession of a donor card receives many discounts at OHRA. On the premium of health insurance and taking out car insurance, you will receive various discounts with your donor codicil at OHRA. The more insurance policies you take out, the higher the discount.

Sustainability OHRA

You will find more information about the sustainability of health insurer OHRA here. The VBDO (Association of Investors for Sustainable Development) has investigated the extent to which Dutch health insurers invest responsibly and sustainably. In the survey ‘Responsible Investment by Insurance Companies in the Netherlands 2019’, OHRA has a score of 2.2 on a scale of 1 to 5. Which factors carry weight? It concerns, among other things, the policy consequences for people, society and the environment.
